Requisition (req)
A requisition is an approved open role, covering the headcount, budget and approval to hire. "How many reqs are you carrying?" is standard shorthand for a recruiter's workload.
A common cause of slow hiring is roles being interviewed for before the requisition is properly approved, so an offer stalls at the point of budget sign-off.
