Find out where your funnel actually leaks
Aggregate hiring metrics hide the problem. The useful question is which stage, on which role, is losing you the candidates you wanted.
HireIQ's analytics show conversion between each hiring stage, how long candidates sit in each one, and where they drop out — broken down per role. That is what tells you whether your problem is sourcing, screening, or a slow final round.
Why aggregate time-to-hire is close to useless
An average across every role tells you nothing actionable. Two roles with identical 42-day averages can have completely different problems: one is slow because sourcing takes six weeks, the other because candidates wait ten days between the final interview and an offer. The fixes are unrelated.
What is tracked
| Metric | The question it answers |
|---|---|
| Stage conversion | Where are candidates being lost? |
| Time in stage | Which stage is the bottleneck? |
| Time to hire, per role | Which roles are genuinely slow, rather than slow on average? |
| Drop-out point | Where do candidates withdraw — and is it always the same stage? |
| Interview load | Who is carrying the interviewing, and are they overloaded? |

Common questions
How much data before this is meaningful?
Stage conversion needs a reasonable number of candidates to mean anything. Time-in-stage is useful almost immediately, because bottlenecks show up on a single role.
Can I export the data?
Yes.
